For naming agencies

The clearance layeryour naming projects deserved a decade ago.

Brand Cleared runs five AI creative agencies — Lexicon Agency, Igor Agency, Cultural Linguistics Agency, Consumer Moment Agency, Viral & Social Agency — against your brief, then puts every candidate through eight clearance checks: RDAP domain data, USPTO federal trademark knockout, Apple App Store, Google Play, seven social platforms, common-law SERP via Brave, famous-entity matching via Wikidata, and the Wayback Machine. About fifteen minutes. $149 per brief. The rounding error in your client SOW.

The agency wedge

The premium shops already admitted the screening is commodity.

“There are plenty of suppliers that can generate a list of names. There are even some that claim to be the ‘world’s leading naming company’. That’s easy to do. Creating names that help to create billion-dollar brands is a different story.”

Lexicon Brandinglexiconbranding.com

Lexicon Branding — the Sausalito agency behind Pentium, Swiffer, Dasani, and BlackBerry, charging fifty to a hundred and fifty thousand dollars per name — says it plainly on its own homepage.

That’s the wedge. The list-generation and the boring screening that surrounds it is commodity work — Lexicon’s own marketing concedes it. The billion-dollar judgment is not. Brand Cleared owns the commodity layer at $149 a brief so your team’s hours go to the layer clients actually pay for.

The pipeline’s first creative agency is named Lexicon Agency. The tribute is intentional. The product respects the craft it sits next to.

Inside the workflow

Built to complement the agency, not replace it.

A naming engagement is a four-week story. Brand Cleared compresses one chapter of it — the manual clearance grind that no client ever pays a creative director’s rate for — into about fifteen minutes. The strategy, the territory framing, the client narrative, the boardroom defense: those stay yours.

01

Days 1–3 · Ideation

Your brief.

Your strategist runs the workshop. Your team fills the doc. Brand Cleared sits in parallel, generates roughly one hundred candidates from a different angle — five creative-director briefs running independently — and hands you a fresh pool to merge with what your team produced. No replacement. A second creative team.

02

Days 4–8 · Knockout (the chapter we own)

Our screening.

The day a junior designer would have spent in twelve browser tabs becomes about fifteen minutes. USPTO federal trademark knockout, phonetic and Nice-class-aware. RDAP domain data on seven TLDs. Apple App Store and Google Play. Seven social platforms — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn. Common-law SERP via Brave. Wikidata famous-entity match. The Wayback Machine. Every name. One report.

03

Days 9 onward · Strategy + client work

Your judgment.

Your strategist sees a tighter, already-screened pool. The territory framing, the cull, the client presentation, the boardroom defense — all of that stays exactly where it should: with the team the client is actually paying for. We don't talk to your client. We don't show up in your deliverables. The report is yours to read and discard.

The honest scope

What this report doesn’t do.

Read this section before you decide. The product earns its $149 by being clear-eyed about where it stops.

It doesn't replace outside trademark counsel for full clearance. USPTO federal knockout is the first screening layer — not the final legal opinion. A trademark attorney still gets the final word before any filing.

It doesn't cover WIPO, Madrid Protocol, or international trademark registers. The pipeline searches the USPTO federal database only. Anyone selling outside the US needs separate counsel for international coverage.

It doesn't tell you which name to pick. The four-panel audit — Brand Strategist, Industry Expert, Growth Marketer, Design Director — produces arguments per candidate, not verdicts. Your team still owns selection.

It doesn't deliver a brand identity. No palette, no typography, no voice guide, no style guide, no positioning deck, no tagline. The pipeline names and clears. Identity work stays with your studio.

It doesn't own your client relationship. The report is a private link your team reads. It never goes to the client unless you decide to share it. We don't make the boardroom presentation. You do.

It doesn't pretend the verdict is exhaustive. Common-law SERP is indicative, not legal proof. LinkedIn handle confidence is lower than the other six platforms because LinkedIn blocks bots. The report says so on the surface where it matters.

The agency does the work clients pay for. Brand Cleared does the boring part nobody was ever going to charge for in the first place.

For in-house brand teams + agencies of record

The defensible memo your review committee needed.

Sub-brand naming for a Q3 product launch lives or dies on the review committee. Brand Cleared produces the artifact the committee asks for: a private shareable link with every candidate’s tier, scoring rationale, USPTO conflict notes, App Store and Play Store conflict scan, seven-platform handle availability, and the four-panel audit arguments — written in language a non-naming stakeholder can read in one sitting.

About fifteen minutes. $149 per shortlist run. Below the procurement threshold at every Fortune 500 we’ve checked. Corporate card, expensed under research or software. No annual contract. No InfoSec gate. No team-seat math.

Run it once on a real candidate set. If it doesn’t earn the procurement paperwork back in time saved, we refund the credit.

One report. One price.

One session. Done.

$149 per brief. One-time. No subscription. No upsell. The full pipeline runs on every name in your shortlist — generation, eight clearance checks, scoring, audit, report. The link is private, shareable, yours to keep.

Questions before you run a brief

Questions agency and team buyers ask first.

Is $149 a corp-card transaction?

Yes. $149 is below the per-engagement supplies threshold at every Fortune 500 procurement policy we've checked. Corporate card, expensed against the active client engagement or filed under research or software. No purchase order. No vendor onboarding. No annual contract. The Stripe receipt itemizes “Brand Cleared — one report” with MERIA, LLC as the legal entity for any AP system that needs the line.

Do you have SOC 2?

No. SOC 2 is the right ask for a team-seat SaaS subscription that stores your customer data across recurring sessions. Brand Cleared is a one-time $149 transaction that runs your brief through the pipeline and ships a private report. The report holds the brief, the candidates, and the clearance data — nothing that survives the engagement beyond what your team chooses to save. If a SOC 2 attestation becomes load-bearing for your procurement, we'll tell you it doesn't apply yet and refund the credit before you've spent a minute on the paperwork.

Do you offer DPA, MSA, or NDA?

The report URL is tokenized — anyone with the link can open the report, no one without it can. That's de facto NDA for the deliverable itself. For a signed mutual NDA before the brief is submitted, email hello@brandcleared.com and we'll countersign yours or send ours, no negotiation theater. DPA and MSA aren't offered today; the single $149 transaction sits below the threshold most legal teams require either for. If your team requires one and we don't have it, we'll say so and refund — same posture as SOC 2.

Can multiple stakeholders collaborate on the report?

Not as a workspace. The report is a private shareable artifact — pass the link to your review committee, your AOR, your trademark attorney, anyone you want to see the verdict. It's a document, not a Figma file. There's no comment infrastructure, no per-stakeholder access control, no version history. If your team needs a stakeholder workspace, this isn't the product yet; if your team needs a defensible memo a committee can read in one sitting, this is exactly the product.

Will my client see this as “made by AI”?

Your client never sees Brand Cleared. The report is a private link your team reads — it doesn't enter your deliverables, your client presentation, or your SOW unless you decide to put it there. The names that survive your strategist's curation get presented in your studio's voice, on your studio's timeline, with your studio's reasoning. The pipeline is back-office infrastructure, not a client-facing artifact. The same way a junior designer in twelve browser tabs is back-office infrastructure — except this one finishes in fifteen minutes.

Can we white-label this?

No. The report carries Brand Cleared's name in the footer and the disclaimer — it's a research artifact, and the legal posture of “this is research, not legal advice” requires the source to be visible on the document. The output of the report — the names your team curates, the territories you frame, the boardroom defense you build — is yours, unbranded, ungoverned by us. We sell the screening layer, not the client deliverable.

Do you offer agency pricing?

Same $149 per report whether you're a sole-proprietor naming consultant or a holding-company agency. We don't run volume discounts, agency tiers, or seat licenses. The price was set against the engagement value it sits inside — at $149 against a $25,000-to-$150,000 naming project, the rounding error already does the work that volume discount would. If your team runs three naming engagements a month, three reports a month is still cheaper than the junior designer's hours it replaces.
